Caused flakiness and waxy texture!
I saw this product at Target and wanted to try something new. I had never seen a shampoo that wasn't really creamy like other products, and I liked that it did not have any sulfate, parabens, etc. in it. Seemed worth a try. The first time I used it I noticed my hair became more flaky, like there were white flakes clinging to my roots and my hair felt more oily. I figured user error. I used it again yesterday and the same result, and I felt I had washed it out of my hair thoroughly. When fixing my hair in the bathroom at work later, my hair looked like I had put wax or gel in it, especially at the roots. I was totally mortified. My hair looked dirty even though I had just washed it. The only product I had in my hair was this shampoo. I have 3A hair so maybe this product just isn't meant for me, but it's even advertised on the website as being for all curl types. Really disappointed and now unsure how to fix my hair. I don't know what to do.

Squeaky clean - not a pleasant scent
So I have some thoughts on this. I feel that it does clean my hair well. I rinse my hair daily and then use a leave-in conditioner (Not CD) and by the end of the week, there is some build-up — not a lot, but enough to need a clarifying shampoo. While it does the job (it gets squeaky clean), I feel like it does strip my hair a bit. Once I add the jelly conditioner though - all is well. I feel that the system needs to be used to get the proper benefit. My only complaint on the products I have tried so far is the SMELL. It’s very strong! Very!! It’s not a pleasant scent (I can only compare it to a pine forest). I plan to try the rose scent once I run out of what I have now.

Heavy and gross on hair
Left my hair greasy and gross. I had to wash it out after the shower. So disappointed as I took a hair quiz and tried it. I should have stuck with the normal one

I Love Wash Day Delight!
I discovered this product at a retail store and absolutely LOVE it! I am writing this honest review after my fourth use and have tried both the aloe and rose. I initially purchased it because I figured the liquid-like formula and application tip would be easy to apply to and cleanse my scalp when wearing braids but I also use it on my Afro! It has a fresh scent and does not leave my 4C hair feeling stripped of moisture after rinsing. Side note of what works for me: the directions say to wet hair first, but I personally prefer to apply it to dry scalp/hair. I sit at my bathroom vanity and gently massage it in part by part. And if I'm wearing my Afro, I also apply and finger-comb through each section of my hair. I then allow the product to stay on for several minutes before rinsing. I use plenty of the product but do not experience much of it running down; but if it does, I simply wipe my face/neck with a wet cloth because I want the product to stay on for a little while before rinsing. Again, this is what works for me. Enjoy!

Wash day delight for sure
I bought this from my local Sally’s Beauty store. This right here…man, it took all the product out of my locs and left them so free and feeling light. The smell is so pleasant and lingers. I would tell you to go head and buy this…honestly, any of the products

Great for the whole family
I have to keep this product in stock because I have multiple users in my home. My husband uses because he loves how his hair feels after each use. I use because I love how it works in my 3B hair. My daughters are 3A and 3C hair and they use it as well. We all love this product.

Clean and relieves dry irritated scalp
I searched endlessly for something that relieves dry irritated scalp! This works great! I purchased from Amazon and didn't know who created Carol's daughter and I wasn't at all surprised when I was searching for the conditioner to go with it and found Carol's daughter website and seen it's for beautiful African Americans! I'm not African American but I'm American Indian and have seriously dry horse tail like hair which is normal. I LOVE these products! I'm in my 40's and most of my life the only products that help tend to be what lots of people call "the black people section" in stores. No offense intended! I am truly blessed to have found y'all! I've just purchased a big order to give to my girls! I'm a soaper & I make my own hair oils that work wonderfully for moisturizing but I run into problems making my natural shampoo and conditioner so I needed something close to natural as possible as I can find and I'VE FOUND IT! No type of sulfates at all, no phalates that I can find and wonderful herbs that I use in my oils plus great healing carrier oils!! I recommend this to any woman or man! It heals during the first use!! Moisturizing & wonderful! Thank you! I'm so proud that you are a family business and take pride in your family. Mamas, grandmas & baby girls!! Congratulations! U have a lifetimer as long as you keep this line in aloe and rose!!
