1993: Born in Brooklyn

“In 1993, encouraged by my mother, Carol, I began creating hair and body products made with love, in my Brooklyn kitchen. Family and friends instantly fell in love. To name my company, I listed everything I was and wanted to be, and realized the most special thing that I am is Lisa, Carol’s daughter.”

Lisa began selling her homemade recipes at local flea markets and festivals.

1999: Carol's Daughter first boutique opens

The first Carol’s Daughter boutique opens in Ft. Greene, Brooklyn.

2002: Lisa appears on Oprah

Carol’s Daughter changes the natural haircare world by being one of the first to sell their beauty recipes directly to their customers—right here on!

2002: Success Never Smelt So Good

Lisa appears on the Oprah Winfrey Show and The “O” Effect happens.

2004: Lisa becomes an author

Lisa becomes an author, penning her story in “Success Never Smelled So Sweet.”

2008: Carol’s Daughter launches on HSN

Carol’s Daughter launches on HSN.

2010: Lisa discovers monoi oil in Tahiti
