If your hair had its own personality, how would you describe it?
My hair is like a mood ring. If I feel tired, it refuses to do anything but be put in a bun. If I've had a good workout and I've eaten well that day, it's soft and full of life and ready to be out!
What is the most daring thing you've ever done?
In 2007 I got a magazine job in NYC, moved here with a few bags and slept on a friends floor for 4 months just to take this opportunity!
Who is your style or hair icon and why?
Right now I am loving Julia Sarr Jamois. She's a half Sudanese half French model turned fashion editor. I work in the fashion magazine industry and discovered her on a street fashion blog one day. She has huge heavenly hair that she always wears out and free. It goes great with her bold, edgy and quirky fashion choices.
What song or album makes you feel most empowered and beautiful?
This is so random but I love "So Fresh and So Clean" by Outkast! I love blasting that while I'm getting ready in the mornings. Gives me a quick boost of fierce confidence. 'Ain't nobody dope as me, I'm dressed so fresh so clean!"
