How long have you been transitioning and what made you decide to do so?
I've been transitioning since May 2012, so, I guess officially 2 years!
If your hair had its own personality, how would you describe it?
My hair would be a radicalist for sure. I has a tendency to make people stop and look. It has a beauty of its own.
What is your hair regimen and what are your hair care essentials?
My hair regimen consists of wetting my hair daily and following it with a leave-in conditioner. Next, I use Hair Milk for the softness then followed by coconut oil and the curl cream. Throughout the day I use water mixed with glycerin for moisture if needed.
What has been the best part and hardest part of your natural hair journey?
Externally, the dryness. I don't have that problem any longer since I've discovered a hair regimen that's right for me. The internal obstacle was accepting my natural hair and not worrying if someone likes it or not.
Who is your hair icon, and why?
I don't have a hair icon. There are so many beautiful women with natural hair.
