The Upside To Hot Rollers

By S. L.  Carroll

Hot rollers are back! If you’re a lover of big sexy voluminous hair—oftentimes a curling iron, flat iron, traditional rollers, or a curling wand just won’t cut it. Flirtatious curls that look effortlessly classic need the touch of the hot rollers.

Whether they are tight and shapely or loose and wavy, hot rollers are your hair's best friend for creating soft waves and cascading curls. Achieving a head full of curls often require a lot of time when using other hair tools, however hot roller sets are by far the most convenient solution to achieve a sexy sultry or playful whimsical look without standing in front of a mirror all day.

Most setters are equipped with curlers that rest on a heated stand and warm up on the stand, in preparation to be rolled on well-combed-out hair. When the rollers reach the expected heat setting, you place them on your hair with clips or pins, and allow them to cool while rolled in your hair.

By the time you finish doing your makeup, finding an outfit, or whatever else may be on your get-out-the-door list, the rollers should be completely cool. Neatly remove the rollers in the opposite direction they were rolled, and style as desired, brushing with a paddle brush to achieve greater volume and body.

Unlike wands, curling irons and flat irons, heated roller sets use less heat and provide curls that last much longer.  Keeping your hair healthy, easy and convenient, with amazing curling results—it should come as no surprise that heated rollers have stood the test of time for the last 45 years.
