This is one of my stample twist puddings. I love the hold it gives without any flakes or dryness. I'm a product junky like most naturals but this is what I grab when I start doing my twists for a twist-out. It's also what I have in my travel bag on vacation. I must have product in my book. :-)

When I first started transitioning I used this product, and it's still one of my favorites to date. It's light, makes my hair feel incredibly soft, and gives my hair awesome shine. Plus my curls are perfectly defined and don't frizz up. I even got my sister to use it after she stopped using CD products, and it made a believer out of her. She loves it.

I recently did the big chop (for the 3rd time in 2 years) and needed to find a product line that would allow me to get through the 'big bush phase" and still feel cute but not have my hair weighed down by heavy gunky products. CD was it! I asked what I could use to 'slick' back the hair and they recommended the pudding. I disagree that it is heavy enough to 'slick' down curly hair, which but I think that is a good thing. None of the CD products I have used have weighed my hair down and it leaves y hair feeling soft with just the right amount of hold. The key is to use just a little on very wet hair and allow the product to sit for a minute after styling to let the "curl" take hold. I am a CD fan and I think I can actually make it through the grow out phase using these products!

Keeps the hair soft and suprisingly it holds well. Smells so sweet and brings your curls to life!!!

Hair milk pudding is the best product I've found for my shoulder length locs. I loveee the way it makes my locs feel and smell, it controls frizz and gives my well manicured locs neat and looking fab!!! My loctionist is using on ALL of her clients. Thanks Lisa

I purchased the hair pudding to use for my flat twist outs, two strands twists and bantu knot outs. I am transitioning while keeping my length. I read the other reviews before purchasing and few people mentioned the pudding dried their hair out. So I placed a few drops off the Tui Oil into the container of the pudding just on the surface of the product enough that it's there but not enough that you have a puddle of oil sitting in the container. The results, FABULOUS on my bantu knot out! To my hair: I rubbed some of marguerites magic throughout then applied a litte of the monoi split in end sealer, sprayed with the Black Vanilla leave in and the Tui leave in and used the pudding. I love the results. A definite winner and you don't need alot of any of the products. I didn't wash my hair before it was a midweek style done on dry hair so I had been using products earlier in the week and NO BUILD UP! I love this stuff. And my hair smells GREAT!

I just want to say this is the first time I've tried Carols Daughter Hair Milk Pudding and it really feels good on my hair, it gives my hair great shine. I have short natural hair, that hasn't had any chemicals in it. I just got a hair cut today so I will continue to use the Hair Pudding. I have tried so many products that doesn't work and that can be very costly. Carols Daughter is pricey but I was willing to give this product a try after talking to the store clerk in Macy's and then reading your reviews of the product. Thank you.

I first tried a free sample of the Hair Milk Pudding. I have locs. It gave them new life. It smoothed my frizzes out and gave my hair a clean, fresh scent. I went straight to Macy's in Atlanta and bought a regular sized jar. I love it. I also use it on my 8 years old niece's twists. I use or have tried just about all of Carol's Daughter's hair products.

I have to say that all of the other hair milk products were much more hydrating than this one. It dried out my hair and made my curl pattern frizzy. I will continue to use the Hair Milk Lite, CoWash and the Mimosa Hair honey for my twist outs. If you have dry hair, the mimosa hair honey works much better for twist outs. It will help define your curl pattern along with moisturizing your hair without making it frizzy

I purchased the hair milk pudding. Oh wow. It does just what it says. Curls are defined, soft and shine. Not greasy or heavy no flaking. Light scented. I tried other products like Eco styler, ic styling gel, Shea moisture curling soufflé. All were way to heavy for my hair. I like this and will stick with it. I highly recommend. I have thin, soft, dull, dry natural hair. But it's all good now. Thx CD.

I use this product for my daughter's twist outs and it works very well. It does not leave a residue and her hair is very bouncy. It stays very well for about a week or so. It looks great even a few days after sweating and dancing for two day in dance conventions.

I just tried the curl milk pudding along with the leave in conditioner to create a twist out. Before putting the twists and the CD products in my hair my hair was SUPER dry. I had moisturized earlier in the day but idk if it was the product i used, or the fact that it's winter and super cold but my hair was VERY dry. I first applied the hair milk, then i applied the pudding. My twist out looks amazing today. it is VERY defined and not at all frizzy. I usually always have frizzy areas. These products have a lot of natural oils in them ( i'm not sure which is the oil culprit or if they are both oily because i used both the leave in hair milk and the pudding). Either way it was JUST what my hair needed. My hair is not oily at all today it is just INCREDIBLY soft and moisturized. My hair looks and feels amazing. IDK what it is, but i think my hair really loves CD products, which on the one hand is sad because they are so damn expensive but at least my hair is growing and getting healthy. I wish they would help us out and reduce the prices of everything by $5. ;)

I have a 3 year old granddaughter with curly, coarse hair. Unfortunately, we are clueless how to handle ethnic hair! lol... so after doing some research, I decided to try the Hair Pudding... OMG!! Transformational!! I've always used WEN as a cleanser on her hair, and as a dressing.. and it worked ok... on the DAY her hair was washed. As soon as she would take nap she would start looking fuzzy. With the pudding, her curls stay shiney and defined: even after hats, naps and 3 year old nonsense!! I'm a believer!! I am now looking for other products to use from CD line...

I have natural hair. If you already have dry hair, you may not want to use the hair pudding. I tried the hair pudding for the first time recently, and my hair became so dry that it has been breaking off since I used it. I am hoping once I wash my hair and deep condition it, that it will get better. My hair was doing so good too, this was a very unfortunate set back for me.

the curly pudding gives good curl definition plus it dries very soft i do have to add some extra moisture can be a bit drying

I purchased the Hair Milk trial set from Sephora recently. My hair is very thick ,4b texture and is about a year and a half of virgin growth. Myproduct needs are different now that my hair is about shoulder length. I loved the results of my twist out with the milk, both of them. I did not touch the pudding for three days, as I had read not so great reviews about it. I wanted to refresh the ends of my twists out, and decided to try the milk pudding. I tapped it lightly with my finger and started to twirl the ends while dry. The instant that I touched my hair, the milk pudding grabbed and defined each strand and coiled them unlike ANYTHING I've used. I was AMAZED after doing this on all of my slept on ends. My hair was so defined, shiny, soft, and hydrated....all day! I also like to smooth it at the roots of my fat twists for control, and it make these big fat shiny waves. I was so glad that I gave it a chance. I went and bought the full size.I only need to tap it with my fingers, and it is not to be scooped out for me. It's going to last a long time. This product is phenomenal.

This stuff is da bomb!! My super curly hair can be frizzy and unmanageable. I don't need much, but this has really done the trcik to tame my mess of a head. I will be buying htis again.

I am currently a transitioner (long grow out curly styler) for a little more than 3 months and I had the hardest time trying to find a product that held the curls I made with my two strand twists and bantu knots without drying out my hair and without losing hold. As any long grow out transitioner knows, it is very hard to make permed hair obey the curl pattern that you want. BUT this pudding does the job!!! It should not be advertised just for already defined curls, its for transitioners too!!!

Thank god for samples. It received this as a sample a few months ago after telling a sales rep in the Harlem store I use Eco gel to hold and mold my hair. So I eventually ran out of the gel an figured I would give this a try. Well to my surprise, this product doe the same job, holing my hair in place except, it leaves my hair very soft and shiny. When I ran out of this sample, I ran to the store for a bigger bottle. I will definitely incorporate this product into my everyday regimen. This product is great.

I purchase my first Carol's Daughter products this July at a Macy's store in Atlanta. I have short natural hair which is wavy when brushed. I purchased the starter kit of Hair Milk Co-Wash and leave-in conditioners which also included the pudding. Loved the co-wash and leave-in conditioners which left my hair soft and curly. But after applying the pudding and finger curling, my hair turned hard, dull and brittle. I had to use Wave Nouveau mositurizing finishing lotion to soften my hair and bring back the shine.

I so wanted to love this product as I've been hearing rave reviews but it did not work for my hair. For one thing it smells like a mild relaxer, which isn't a huge problem if you don't have sensitive sinuses. This product gives AMAZING definition to my coils and lasts for days without having to retwist. However...this product left my hair feeling a bit crisp and dry. Drying not only to my strands but to my scalp as well (it was excessively flakey and bone white). For someone like me who has issues with dry scalp already, my head just couldn't tolerate this product. Again, you get wonderful definition with this product but you may have to choose whether or not the definition is worth tolerating an itchy, flakey scalp. Perhaps you other naturals will have a better experience with this product. Good luck! :)

I've been wary of trying products that stretch my budget because after all, what if they don't work? Carol's Daughter products look and seem amazing, but they are a bit out of my price range. However, I received my first Curlbox in August and to my delight, there was a full size jar of the Hair Milk Pudding enclosed! I immediately tried it over my leave in conditioner and let my hair air dry. I used a very small amount because my hair is very thin, although I have a ton of it. This product is to-date, the best I've tried. I am a newer transitioner with relaxed/texturized hair. Although I've been relaxing my hair for 20 years, it still curls up like nobody's business when I don't apply a heat process to it. I stopped using chemicals on my hair in May of 2012, so it's only been a few months. I've tried many products and although I've found some great ones, I cannot deny that CD's Hair MIlk Pudding is the best yet. It is light, easy to apply and instantly transforms limp, fine, damp hair into curly-well-defined-goodness! I am a true convert and now, because I cannot deny how great this product is, I'm looking into other CD products, like the Monoi line. I'm super impressed and finally understand what all the hype is about when it comes to Carols Daughter products! You've got to try this stuff!

I have 3A/B hair type and am constantly struggling to style my curls so that they don't start to droop by the end of the day. A colleague recommend CD, I had never tried before - and man am I am impressed. I am back to buy the full collection

I love CD products. I used to wash my hair and twist it with CD original hair milk and loc butter. Well I received a sample of the Hair Milk Pudding and I can't believe how beautiful my hair turned out. This time I washed it and twist it with CD Hair Milk Original and HM Pudding, I did not use the Loc Butter, and the next day I took my twist out and styled my hair; my hair turned out beautifully. My hair is a 3b and 3c type. It is extremely curly, and I like to twist my hair and do a twist out the next morning then style it. I am on day 2 and my curls are still well defined, bouncy, curly and shiny. I LOVE THIS STUFF! I cannot do without CD Hair Milk, HM Pudding, & Mimosa Hair Honey! These are must have products...Thanks Lisa, You did it AGAIN!!!

I tried this in New orleans at the Music Festival and was so happy i did. I bought this and lots of other Carol Daughter stuff out there and I'm a believer. What have I been waiting for!??

I have used "that other pudding" for many years now and was skeptical about trying something new. Let me tell you, this is the real deal! Price is better too! Smells great, made my hair soft the first time, evben my 9 yr old daughter loves it! A winner!

I am a new "Big Chopper" and this is"perfect" because it gives excellent moisture and controls my"fly aways" that won't behave especially when I am in a hurry out the door! I am almost complete with my CD line.... Thanks Lisa! Keep the new ideas comin!

Like many of your products, I would just love to try this one. The Hair Milk Shampoo & Conditioner are staples for me BUT not the curl definer and now, neither of these. The use of SWEET ALMOND OIL is keeping me from buying and loving your other products. I am very allergic to almonds and other nuts. This makes me so sad. With all of the other moisture options out there, I wish that this wasn't found in so many of your products. :(
