First, I'm mixed, african american and caucasian so I have tan skin complexion with dry/normal skin. This review is in regard for those with the same skin type since its unknown to me if this product will work for oily, combination, or dry skin. I bought the scar butter last year in january 2012 and so far I'm pleased with the results and still have 1/8 of it left. When I moved to El Paso, Tx last year, my face had broken out so bad, I had acne cysts. It was even worst when the sandstorms rolled in because its dry hot in el paso. During this time I had went through so many skincare products eminence, mary kay, bareminerals/bareescentuals, l'oreal, olay, burt's bees. Once I was able to get my acne under control, I was left with black dark scars. Then, I had to search all over again for products to rid or fade the scars. I came across this product, and decided to give it a go.... The first month my acne was active and the product made it worse, not that it didn't create more pimples, it just brought out the cystic pimples I had. Don't know if thats a good thing, but i decided to discontinued it until the acne subsided and reuse the product again. That time, the scars had faded in about 2-3 weeks; I guess the product would dry out or exfoliate the scars because the scars would peel off as dead skin. Sound slightly disgusting, but its better than nothing really. I also noticed something about the product and its reaction to warm/hot weather. When i applied the scar butter and then go out to run errands, the product's reaction to the warm sunlight gave my skin this radiant glow, which I love since other products, mostly organic, had given my skin a dull look. However, in the fall/winter when the weather is cooler, it doesn't give me that glow than in spring/summer warmer weather. Pros Fades scar Gives radiant glow (only in warmer or hot weather) Doesn't create more pimples Cons / improvements Makes current acne worse if its severely active weird smell of herbs? I can't really make out , might be a problem to those with sensitive smell for sanitation purpose, it would be nice for the product to be in a bottle with a dispenser. Product might be a bit or too oily

I am in my mid 30's with hormonal acne. I had it bad on my cheeks, specifically. Everytime my acne cleared, it left dark spots. If I tried bleaching products, the acne would come back - a never ending loop. I decided to try this product as my last resort, and it works! I apply this on my cheeks 2 - 3 times a week after washing my face and using Carols Daughter Clarifying toner. Not only has my dark spots lightened by 50%, but I no longer breakout. This stuff is amazing. I am two weeks into this regimine, and on my way to having make- up optional skin.

I was having my thyroid removed and absolutely didn't want a scar. I researched what other people did and for the most part they said Carol's Daughter Scar Butter works best. I tried and have pictures that show the difference. My must say my scars looks a lot better than some I see; my scar is almost gone.

I began using scar butter after my surgery. I'ved used the product for 10 months on two scars. Both scars show some improvements, however, not to the extent of other such reviewers have claimed. After I finish the bottle I will let mother nature take over and let time heal the wounds.

I have used this product! I can say that it soothes, cools as well as moisturizes scars, scrapes, and cuts...even mild burns. It has a light pleasant fragrance.

I purchased this for a old scar that i had for 3 years that nothing worked on it until i tried this

I love this product. My first degree burn that left a scar on my left arm for two years is gone! not even noticable. A surgical scar that has been there for 8 years already lightened up and becoming less visiable after four months of use. Works wonders on scratches and scars Thanks You Carols D.

I have been using this product for about two years on my knees. I total knee replacements on both of my knees . As a result of using this cream you can hardly tell that I have the scars.

I am not one to write reviews but I ASOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! I have tried many different products but short and simple THIS WORKS...buy it!!!!
