Just purchased the Hair Milk along with the Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner which I absolutely luv,luv,luv,...I like the hair milk...I have a twa(natural hair) and put in on at night with the leave in as a mosturizer and in the morning my coils pop and are shiney. I like the product it makes my hair feel soft and look/feel healthy...the only negitive I have is the smell. It has a smell that I can't describe so I would suggest either make it smell more on a light cocoa butter smell or if so take the smell out all together and the product would be perfect! Overall I do like the product and will use it again!

I am always wearing my hair as a wash-n-go. The Hair Milk made my hair look gorgeous! Shiny, soft, defined curls with body is what people kept saying to me.This is definitely going to be my product I use when I go out to nice places. I love it and you don't need a lot at all. Months ago, I was reaching online to see what can help control and moisturize my curls and heard the great reviews of this product. I absolutely love the Hair Milk Leave In and will start to use the shampoo and conditioner. It leaves my hair super soft and healthier looking. After using all of the other natural hair lines for several years, I have finally found my easy button for hair! Other products look great initially but before mid day my hair was dry and frizzy and the curls shrank! Hair milk is awesome!!! My hair stays shiny and defined with beautiful curls all day long. We brought home our daughter from Ethiopia in May of 2012. Carol's Daughter products had been recommended to me by some other mothers of young curls, specifically Hair Milk. As a baby I loved he way it softened my daughter's curls and made her hair smell fresh and clean. At 18 months old with a head full of thick tight curls, I still love this product. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical at first. I didn't think anything would really give my 4a curls definition while also keeping my soft as well. But hair milk does. It doesn't weigh it down at all. I've tried many products (more expensive) and this by far is the best. The scent it light and absorbs fast. Definitely will keep this in stock.

Not only is my hair natural, but it is color treated – blond, which REALLY demands moisture. I've used Hair Milk Original Leave-In Moisturizer on my locs for almost three years. As my locs have grown and matured, Hair Milk has consistently provided just the right amount of moisture and body without a greasy feel. This leave in conditioner is great and not heavy on my hair. I have very fine and soft hair so I always have to be careful about putting in products that are for moisturizing. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone!!

I love the way hair milk makes my daughters hair look. She she tights curls and applying hair milk after shampooing makes her hair more manageable and easy to comb through. I use it daily as it provides moisture without making making her hair look too greasy and there's not a lot of build up. I truly recommend this product.

The hair milk actually did help my curls retain a "springy" bounce but only on my "old" hair no the new growth. It may take a few tries to get it to boil the same as the oolder hair. I'm still transitioning so that just may be the case.

I have been a Cosmetologist for 22yrs, I have embraced my natural tress for three years. I started using Carol's Daughter hair milk because of a video I watched. This tutorial showed how to acheive a twist-out look I had been trying to acheive while I was using other products, but it just was not working. So, I decided to trust Carol's Daughter with my hair. I have naturally curly color proceeded hair, my daughter has a relaxer and is transitioning, my son has naturally curly hair. I love it for myself because it really defines my curls and I can refresh my hair with water the next day and it still looks great. With other products I have to wash my hair and start the process over. I love it for my daughter because it adds moisture. Her hair is very dry and I find this product to be the perfect compliment with the transitions kit. I twisted her hair took it down and after a few days its still soft and just feels so much better than it ever has. My son...he has short hair that I never did anything with so its just there. With hair milk its more curly shiney and more manageable. I can't see our routine without it! I am officially a CD fan. I'm replacing all of my products with CD!!

OK, I have been using products from another natural hari website for years! My curls would look good initally but would dry and look frizzy by mid day. I tried Hair Milk and fell in love!! My curls stayed defined all day. I tried it on my 2 year old's hair and Voila!! His curls stayed all day! I love this and so many other products. Carol's Daughter has made so many improvements and I am now converted!

i have used the hair milk before and had good result. just brought it recentlly and notice that product is watery leaving my hair dry i also sprayed tui on it and it was watered downed also. will not purchase again.

I have been user hair milk since forever, i have not found anything else that works for my hair. I has a bit hesitant to try the new one, I had heard it was not the same, but I am glad I did not listen as I have now bought the new bottle twice and my curls are still happy. I have 4b/c hair and they really need that moisture.

I tried using this when I had an afro. My hair is tightly coiled and this product really didnt do anything for it. I also didnt like the way it felt on my hair. It left a stick residue on my hair and hands and I did not care for the smell too much either. It came in a sampler pack so it wasnt a waste of money. I passed it on to a friend who has loosely curled, frizzy hair. He loved it.

I agree with the people that complain about the change in this product. First was the new bottle, and then the formula. The Hair Milk maintained my hair nice and I didn't have to worry about frizz. Now, I can buy any hair cream that is cheaper and get the same result I get with the new Hair Milk. Please go back to the original formula, then I would buy it again!

Hair Milk was actually the first product I tried from Carol's Daughter many, many years ago. It was my number 1 go to product but I agree with some of the other comments that this product does not work the same. I don't know if the formula was altered in some type of way but why fix something that was not broken. Go Back to the Basics.

Please bring the old formula and fragrance back. I was very surprised when I opened the new bottle. The new product just isn't the same.

I recently purchased the hair milk, and I lovvveeeeee the way it makes my 4C/4B hair curl up. I didn't try this leave-in moisturizer before the size went from 10oz to 8 oz, so I don't have that to gripe about. I'm defitinitely a believer, and I will be purchasing more in the future. The price is steep, but hey it really works without all the greasy build-up that some others leave on my hair. I'm SOLD!

I read all of the reviews. I watched all of the review videos. I've been transitioning for a year. Last time I had a relaxer put in my hair was August 2011. Although I'm a straight-styler transitioner, I decided to get the hair milk to see if I could use it instead of my standard Pink Hair Lotion that I use whenever I put my hair in rollers, which I do every night. I'm so glad I did! I love the smell. It has a light floral scent. Not only did it make my hair look healthy and shiny, it also held my curl. Straight stylers, don't be afraid to get the Hair Milk. It'll work for you too for your straight styles.

I bought Carol's Daughter's Hair Milk a year ago for myself and my son. He had dry scalp and his scalp was itchy and turning white. Hair Milk solved his problem. I was only using it half heartedly, once in a while but when I started to go natural, I found the Hair Milk to be amazing. In the evening, I squeeze it throughout my hair, and massage it in the scalp. It makes it so easy for me to comb through my hair. My hair looks so shiny and healthy. I have the pure kind of African American type hair, very little curl. So I'm loving how Hair Milk makes my hair easy to comb in its semi-natural state.

I have been using the Hair Milk as an after wash leave-in since I transitioned to natural and continued using it into my Sisterlock journey.

I Absolutely LOVE this product I have SUPER Curly hair- like so curly when its wet, it looks like a Jeri Curl (NOT how I wish) This product when applied & my hair is still wet (from fresh out of shower) or even damp Works the Best. I let it air dry (tks about 30 mins 4 Me) & the end result is Soft Bouncy Beautiful Curls. I like to wear it in a Curly Fro (like Jill Scott wears from time 2 time).

I don't care what anyone says this product is not what it use to be. It seems much runnier and not as nourishing as before. Also, I didn't notice that I am receiving less product until i read some of the other reviews, but that is a bummer too.

I was really excited about trying this and ordered and used it along with the Hair Milk co-wash but when I applied it to my hair it instantly made it feel brittle and kind of hard to comb through. My hair is very temperamental to products; it loves what it likes and hates what it doesn't like. I will be sticking to my Infusium 23 for now I guess, my hair likes that.

If any of you are transitioning like myself ...you need to find a style that works for you and your hair type and since my hair is 3c tightly curly,porious hair type .. I found wash -n-gos..and the twist don't really work out for me on my TWA ,however coil twisting with the CD leave in hair milk works wonders and my hair is so hydrated and moisturized which suits hair types like mine perfectly. When going natural you have to find what style or products works for your hair. This product works magic on my coil style and the leave -in moisture milk has shea butter and other fabulous organic ingredients that leaves your hair looking shiney and smelling great!!! I find using CarolDaughters products to be like visiting a luxurious spa with my hair strands..lol..loving it!!!

My hair is very thick and every time I try a new moisturizer it's way too greasy or too heavy. I was contemplating getting the Light Leave In because of my past experiences with hair moisturizers. I was afraid that it might be just like the others but with this, I can use the original and get the results I've always wanted. I would also like to thank Carol's Daughter for the videos that are posted on here. They are very helpful. So many styles and ideas that are easy to follow. When I ordered my Leave In I also ordered the Monoi Oil. I mixed the oil with the moisturizer as I had seen in a video on here. I put hair in Bantu knots and left them in overnight. My curls came out PERFECT!! Even though most of my hair is still relaxed, my curls were still well defined, shiny, and light. Not to mention my hair smelled fresh and beautiful. I'm in love with the Hair Milk collection!!!

I was a bit skeptical when I saw that CD had changed this product - again. I have been a faithful Hair Milk user since I have been natural - 4 YEARS WOOHOO! and it is my go-to curl quencher. Honestly, it works jsut as good as before and I actually prefer the smell now, that was always the one thing I was eh about, I used to also spray with a leave in to mask the smell. My curls are happy - I'm happy. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK CD!!!!

I have used this product for YEARS and LOVE-LOVE-LOVED it!! I was happy to see the new bottle design....I thought it is very nice!! I couldn't wait to open and use it!! MY GOODNESS, the smell was so off that I thought I received a bad batch!! Later I realized that this is what it is SUPPOSED to smell like :( YIKES!! I found it offensive...slightly reminiscent of femine hygeine products and the smell literally made me sick!! I don't understand WHY WHY WHY switch to THIS??!!!! I really did like the old fragrance. If you had to change, why not just a lighter version of the original???? THAT would have been AWESOME!! I do hope CD changes the scent again because I cannot use or buy this and I will really miss using this product!

haire type : 3C and 4A i purchased this product because i thought it would have been as good as the other products that i had bought before (olive oil infusion, tui shampoo and conditioner all from carol's daughter). I usually get my curls define just by applying a conditioner or leave in. I wanted to try a new leave in . the hair milk did nothing but leaving white residue and my curls had no definition. i tried it 3 to 4 times, but i had to rinse it out. i was looking forward to liking this product. i recommend better smell and a little creamier.

I purchased this along with the shampoo for my 1.5 year old daughter. The shampoo works great for her but this leave-in conditioner, not so much. This product leaves her hair super dull, dry and hard to comb through. I'm going to try one of the smoothies to see if its work better to leave her hair soft and shiny.

We have been purchasing Carol's Daughter Hair Milk for 6 years +/-. It was recommended to me from a friend. We live in Houston and had to order it on-line and pay shipping as it was not offered in stores as it is now. It was worth it! It beautifully managed my daughter's hair. Wherever we go she receives compliments. We have ALWAYS given Carol's Daughter the praise! 4 children later, I find myself disappointed in the product. It seems to feel different and DEFINITELY smells different. My children would come home with many compliments from classmates and teachers of how lovely their hair smells. What happened CD? Please bring your original formula back! Why fix something that isn't broken? --A very disappointed Mom

I have natural curls, but really dry and FRIZZYYYYYYYYY.........and from a long long time I have been searching for a miracle product...My job is such that I have to use a lot of gel, spray....and after shampoo conditioning and even after my leave in conditioner my hair tends to be soft for a while but the moment my hair dries out completely it becomes very frizzy ....all my curls open up ........Recently after researching for a very very long time...I found out about the 'Carol's Daughter leave in moisturizer'. And believe me or not I was myself surprised.....My expectations were not that high, coz so far nothing has worked for my hair, but I was actually mesmerized by my hair after the first use of the moisturizer........... I used a normal shampoo+conditioner n I just applied a bit of the moisturizer on my towel dried hair....n VALAAAAAA..............It really worked.....my curls look so perfect...so moisturized...plus it smells so good.........I travel the whole day, come back home after 12,hrs, 16 hrs..doesn't matter...the curls n moisture is still intact... n moreover, my friends used to tell me that my curls look so pretty yet dry....n now they actually ask me wat m i applying onb my hair. :) Definetly m going purchase it again, and actually it has exceeded my expectations so I think m gonna try the shampoo n conditioner as well ............. YUHUUUUUUUUUUUUUU................M just so happy with my curls...

I've been using CD's Hair Milk original for a few years and I really loved the one in the milk bottle. The new packaging in wonderful also but I don't feel I get nearly the wonderful moisturing effect that I had before they changed the original hair milk formula. I like the new formula but not nearly as much as the old one. If I had the old formula I wouldn't mind losing the 2 ozs-It would be a fair trade. But, to get a product thats not quite the same as I enjoyed previously.....?

My daughter & I have been using this moisturizer for several years and swore we would never have to change. Wrong this is not the original formula, our hair is not as shiny or curly as it used to be. The smell is different and it looks like the "pink" stuff that's out there, that same consistency. It's very stickey feeling. I also bought pudding since I was having a hard time with the milk, don't like it either. This not the what I expected from Carol' Daughter.

I have been using your hair milk for three to four years now and have loved it and recommended it to so many other women. It improved the health of my hair immensely. The light formula strengthened my hair, left a great shine on it - and the smell was intoxicating. It is a product I have come to use every day. I had been purchasing it for my mother-in-law as well and purchased some as gifts for friends and family. I recently purchased another bottle and noticed the formula has changed. The product is no longer quality in my opinion. It has a consistency a lot like hair care products you purchase in drugstores and the great fragrance is no longer there. I am so very disappointed and will no longer purchase this product unless and until I learn the quality product I have grown to love is back.

I saw this product on HSN, but did not order it as I was skeptical. I have spent so much trying to tame my hair! So when I saw this product in sample size in the local mall, I decided to give it a try. It has exceeded all my expectations. I have wavy hair in the back, and kinky/ frizzy unruly hair in spots on the sides on the sides.I usually have to blow dry with tension and use a flat iron to get a smooth style which lasts 30 minutes in this humidity.I have never been able to maintain soft, lustrous waves and curls with any other product but this so far. I love love love it!!! Not too heavy for my very fine blonde hair!!! I can't wait to try other products.

I have tight coils and they tend to droop whenever I put product in my hair. I tried the leave-in moisturizer and the pudding. using them together makes my hair soft and springy - I love that i can still runmy hands thru it. I will be back for more.

There is nothing that makes ur curls feel softer and more natural. I love my curly hair and try everything that has ever been made for curly hair and this is the secret that makes CURLS PERFECT ALL THE TIME. You have to apply it when your hair is totally wet and never skip it...but it took my curls from great to people stopping me on the street!!!!

I have long, thick, curly, frizzy, dry hair. I've had a massive head of hair basically since birth and I have fought it all my life. I always wanted 'normal' hair so I did everything I could to tame it. Since the wonder of flat irons, I have been straightening it daily with heat because air drying is not an option. Even just blow drying is bad. I'm always left with a massive head of frizz. I have wanted a product that allowed me to just wash and go for years but it never existed. I gave up. One day, m friend sent me a sample size of CD hair milk that she got . Since she's a blonde with straight, fine hair, she couldn't use it. It sat on my bathroom counter for weeks because I didn't really know what it was and had tried so many products that failed. One day I just gave it a shot. I was staying home for the night so I figured I'd let it air dry. I couldn't believe the results!! My hair dried with no frizz and the curls were not as tight! It looked like I had those beachy waves that only a curling iron would warrant. I had my husband take a picture and posted it on my blog and immediately had people wondering if I really only used one product and air dried it. Since then, I rarely blow dry or flat iron. Only when I want to style it a certain way. It has become hair that is envied vs hair that people for bad for. My blonde friend? Yeah, she's envious!! I can't believe this product and I want a lifetime supply!

I've been using Hair Milk Original for years now and I've always loved it and even though it looks different, I plan on using it forever! I'm happy to see Carol's Daughter step up the packaging on this though...because that old milk bottle looked like it was for kids. Especially when I saw the Monoi (hope i spelled it right) bottle. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. I'm not a person that is faithful to any products but am always looking for things that make my hair look good. I use this everyday on my hair and it stays soft all day. Whenever I use this everyone at work complients my hair. Not sure what it's doing that's different but I love it and i will be faithful to this!

I always hated the bottle. it looked like something my daughter would use, but i hid it in my bathroom cause it always takes my curls to the very best!!!! I use this for more than 10 years and it just keeps getting better. IF YOU HAVE CURLY HAIR YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS. IT'S A MIRACLE PRODUCT!!!!

I tried this as a wash-n-go and then I did a bantu knot twist out that night and slept on it. It was frizzy and greasy the next day with a little hair definition. The next day I misted it with water and did a bantu knot twist out and sat under the dryer for 15 minutes and slept on it (with satin bonnet). It was gorgeous! Shiny, soft, defined curls with body. I think that I put too much product on it the first time and didn't allow it to fully dry before taking down that would contribute to the frizzy and greasiness. This is definitely going to be my staple twist out product. I did not like it at first but I love it now and you don't need a lot at all. That bottle will last me forever!! Great job, Lisa!

I feel as though this new formula is different from the old original. Not as much shine. Also, there are 2 ounces missing compared to the original "milk" bottle. :(

I'm disappointed with the new change. For one, I noticed that the formula did change from the original hair milk. I was also disappointed with the fact that instead of 10 oz for $20 I was getting 8oz for $20. I used the other hair milk all the time. It was the only product that really gave my hair definition and shine. So you can imagine my dismay when I saw that the formula had changed and I was receiving less for the same $20 price. I purchased the new pudding along with the hair milk original leave-in conditioner and used both of them in my hair. I do more of a wash and go style and I put the conditioner on first and then a bit of the pudding. I had great hold and definition once my hair dried but by the end of the day I saw a bit of a white build up which I think was from the pudding. Perhaps the two products are not meant to be used together but I did not like seeing the white residue. I also think my ears broke out from the new formula but that could be stressed induced so I won't say it's because of the new formula change. Either way you put it I want the other formula back and I want to pay twenty bucks for 10 oz. Now I feel like I'm on the search for a great product again.

Hesitantly, I accepted the gift and I'm here to say, "Thank you Yaz!" I finally found something that tames my unruley, over processed, years of weaving, dying, and relaxing, now natural, curly hair. Prior to using this product I always had to use multiple products to get a decent curl, but now I can gladly say I have found my satisfaction in this one bottle. Free at last, free at last! I want to say that I love love love this stuff. This hair milk is great on my hair it does everything that it say it would do. It give me shine, softness, and I love how my twist out come out when I just use this product in my hair. I use this product and its like I dont have to put anything else in my hair. It keeps my hair moisturize for a long period of time.

I recently bought this product while shopping at the mall. I'm a new natural and did the BC on 04/24/12. I was a little skeptical about using it but, I gave it a try. This product really defined the curls of my TWA. A family member, who is also natural, saw it for the first time and thought that I had mini twists done to it!! It smells great and I love how it makes my little curls so shiny. I will be going back to the mall to get the larger bottle and use the smaller bottle for my travel kit!! You got a new fan CD!

I love the hair milk and just purchased the new original and like other reviewers it isn't the same as the old one. I liked the intense scent and tried the new one on my son who has very tight curls. It just didn't do the exact same as the old. But I'm still a big fan!

Soybean Oil is a common high allergen. What about those of us who have allergies who can't use this or, where this can be deadly? Is it possible to make a version without Soybean Oil?

Have always used this on my daughter's hair. I have tried the original and the lite in the past and prefer the original. This does not feel like the same formula. This "new" original feels more like the lite now.

I found Hair Milk in 2005 and it's THE ONE THING that makes my curly hair look and feel the way I imagined it could. Have tried other products that promise the same things that Hair Milk has DELIVERED and I've always come back to THE ORIGINAL! Often imitated but never duplicated =)

I have 4b/4c hair and i used the hairmilk co wash and applied the hair milk moisturizer afterwards and my curls was soft and moisturizer and were defined more the smell is some what a plant smell like eucalyptus oil and aloe vera i bought the trial size just to see how my hair will respond to this product i will be purchasing the bigger size soon!!!!!

My 3 year old daughter is biracal its very hard to find a product that works great with her hair it's very curly and thick I have tried everything in the book carols daughter is the only thing that works on Leyahs hair it give it a great shine , very soft and defines the curls I love this product and I highly recommend it .

When I don't want tight curls I use CD Hair Milk Orig. I love the way it smells and how soft it makes my hair feel, just wish it came in a larger size. With all of the curly products, I've always used Conditioner as a shampoo and when I add CD's Hair milk Orig it makes it even softer. GoLisa!

All the other reviews about how you did not know how to use the product. The best way to put it on your hair is after you have washed your hair, however do not dry your hair with a hair dryer. Dry your hair with a towel so your hair is not dripping wet. If you want, get a bottle of water to spray your hair with water before using the product. Whenever rubbing the product through your hair, remember it is not for your scalp, it is for your hair. I even mix the butter and milk together when rubbing it through my hair. Use a litttle bit at a time and just keeping adding to it depending on your hair. I never could find any product like this. And believe me, i felt like there was nothing out there for my kind of hair to look and feel good. I love having my hair feel so fresh and everyone just seem to like how healthy it looks and at the same time my hair feels so light. LOVE IT!!!!

I brought this product at a local Ulta store because I have curly frizzy hair that runs in all of the girls in my family. I along with my sisters have tryed every frizz free promise for our hair but nothing ever worked. Well I'm so excited to tell my sisters about this Hair Milk they're going to be hooked too. I can't tell you how excited this is to finally be able to just wash my hair, put hair milk on and go, no more ironing hair or stiff curls thank you thank you thank you!

Is change good? I'm a label/ingredients reader with the homework to boot. Also, I'm all about change for the better. So I see there is a new design, although I liked the novelty of the old one. Yet, there has been some change to "what's in it". For me, some of the good stuff was taken out while others lost there place in the line of ingredients and some things added. I still have some of the original original Hair Milk that I've grown to love on my locks. So with the old out and some new I'm on the fence with buying the new. As well, I'm sure there was reason for the change; I just hope change is good.

I tried the hair milk for the first time while vacationing in the Caribbean. I tried it because I was so fed up with the poofball of frizzy, wavy / curly hair that would result from being in such a humid environment. Honestly, I really didn't expect the product to work. But it did! My hair was the best I have EVER seen it when I wear it curly. I really couldn't believe it. It also gave me the freedom from my hair to have a good ol' time on my vacay.
