I have been using the chocolat shampoo for around two weeks. The smell is intoxicating. I have curly hair, so I usually need a conditioner. But with this shampoo, so far, I have not needed the conditioner. I have been impressed.

My daughter bought me the shampoo, conditioner and leave in treatment for Christmas 2011 when she returned home from U.S. Air force bootcamp. I have been using it only for special occasions because I wanted to make it last. I instantly feel in love with the way it made my hair feel and the smell is AMAZING! I get alot of compliments when I use it. Thanks to my daughter I am hooked and as much as I hate spending this much money on hair products .... I am willing to for this product, because I think it's worth it!

I decided to go natural a while ago, but basically I just stopped perming my hair and started dying it. I love the color but it seemed like no matter what I did I could not get moisture into my hair. I tried moisturizers, coconut oil, olive oil, and shea butter, but my hair was not holding the moisture in. Every time I touched my hair it felt like the oil was coming off on my hands, like it never penetrated my hair and my hair was never soft. So I decided I needed to do some research, and my results from that were useless everyone said you need to do what is best for your hair. How was that supposed to help when all I even knew to do to my hair was relax it and at that time my hair was healthy it just wasn't growing. Finally I stumbled across someone talking about Carol's Daughter products. I checked out the website and decided to give it a try I ordered a couple different things starting with this shampoo. So last night I did my prepoo with Lisa's Hair Elixir and some shea butter. I woke up this morning and my hair was so soft, I started to get happy. After rinsing my hair and using this shampoo I was a believer. My curls were so defined and soft and that was just the shampoo. I did a protein reconstructor (because the coloring has been hard on my hair) before I used the conditioner which is on my hair right now. That's right I loved the shampoo so much I am posting this while I am conditioning my hair. Thank you Carol's Daughter I love this product.

I give the product an A+++, but the packaging a D. This is the best shampoo, conditioner and hair cream I have ever used. It took me a while to get used to the strong smell, but now I associate it with great looking hair. I have been raving about this hair care line like a true convert. My only issue is that the bottles are very difficult to use. I have early arthritis and trying to squeeze out the conditioner from the bottle is almost impossible, takes two hands and a place in the shower to squeeze it (I have even shamefully used my teeth in desperation). This bottle top also makes it hard to control the amount of shampoo that comes out. I love, love, love this product; but I can do not know if I will always be able to use these bottles. I just ordered the Tui products to try, which is in a different squeeze bottle and I hope is easier to use.

This product made my locs so soft, and smoothed my new growth.. Which made it easier to retwist, and the smell is addicting.

Most shampoos promise to detangle, but they never do. Even after just the shampoo my hair felt smoother...it's incredible when you also use the conditioner. You have to try it, but it works...I've been waiting for this from Carol's Daughter!!!!!!!!!!

When I first poured this out of the bottle I expected it to be VERY moisturizing. It's definitely the thickest shampoo I've ever used, thicker than the Black Vanilla shampoo which I've used before (I'm returning to Carol's Daughter after a years-long hiatus). And the smell is heavenly - it does smell like chocolate, but has a chocolatey-fruity-floral scent that smells so delicious. I was having an Herbal Essences commercial moment in the shower! But this shampoo is very drying and the conditioner doesn't quite make up for it. I thought my oil infusion treatment would off-set it, but I think I'm going to have to deep condition with the Monoi mask I also bought each time I wash my hair. My hair is definitely clean though.
