I tried this but didnt like it very much mainly because of the scent but also because it is not as soft of supple as Marguerite's Magic. It was ok as a moisturizer but it didnt really do what I needed it to do.

still transitioning. Hair is/was so dry and brittle. Was a little hesitant at first, had heard mixed reviews about CD produts. I will say I am pleased. Touched my hair this morning at work and was like, "what"? Didn't feel crunchy or prickly, lol. Thanks Carol's Daughter for making my transition a little easier. Looking forward to trying other produts.

I like the healthy hair butter as far as moisturize hair but Im really dissappointed in the smell of this product carol this product make my hair smell like bug spray

Carol's Daughter is now saving my transitioning hair...i no longer have to fuss with it, and i have little to no breakage, just the everyday shedding of hair. This healthy hair butter is the BOMB.com, seriously. The smell threw me off at first, a little 2 strong and medicinal smelling, but i apply this twice a day to my ends now and no more hair inside my ponytail holder when i take my hair down after it being wrapped into a little ball. It STOPPED breakage at my ends. I also use the mimosa hair honey at night on my edges and nape of my neck before tying my scarf on and i have nice smooth shiny hair in the morning. I use the hair balm to massage my scalp at least twice a week, and the transitioning 1,2,3 kit when i thoroughly wash my hair. When co-washing i just use the monoi conditioner, but when that runs out im gonna get the rosemary conditioner. Im 6 months into my transition and have 4 (maybe more) inches of new growth and from looking i believe i may be a 3c 4a hair type based on how loosly sprung my coils are and how thin they are. Im loving the transformation and can't wait until i can cut my relaxed ends off...thanks for helping me, i think i've found what works :D

I cannot live without healthy hair butter anymore it makes my hair soft and moisturized i use it every day with the milk leave-in moisturizer for twist outs and works great on my 4b/4a hair. I only wish it came in a larger container and was a little cheaper!

Receive my package about 6 days ago.Omg When i open the CD healthy hair butter the smell was strong, but twist out was the best i ever seen them .I'm in love with CD healthy hair butter.

I have curly hair that tends to be very dry, but with the hair butter, which I purchased at my local Sephora, my hair has become soft, manageable, and shiny. I don't even have to use detangling spray. I love the scent. I love to use the hair butter with the mimosa hair honey.

I had really sparse eyebrows, almost nonexistent. One night after cleaning my face I thought to smooth some Healthy hair butter on my eyebrows, been doing this off and on for about 2-3 weeks,and WOW my eyebrows are growing back they are noticeably fuller, I am so impressed, I have been using an very small amount on eye lashes, now all I need is a spooley so I can really go to town. The smell is earthy, the texture is a moist butter, which I love. It really softens my hair when I've done a twist out or roller set. The HHB helps keep moisture in my hair. My hair is softer and stronger after each use. I think it is helping with growth as well, due to the rosemary - which probably s the catalyst for the scent. I use it before bed mostly, when I need moisture. I purchased marguerites magic today and LOVE IT! Everything about it, from the consistency to the scent. MM is very thick, like whipped butter. HHB is a little less thick, but both are fantastic products. CD products are hit or miss for me, so I sometimes am afraid to try them. So far, this s my first repurchase since going natural. My gar is about 6 inches long, I have an obvious curl pattern, but VERY thick, dry, wiry hair. I think I am a 3c or 3d :) and 4a in some areas. I have old color on my ends in the front and top. I have grays coming in around my edges, which are HARD TO TAME. this helps soften even those wiry grays. Love this product, marguerites magic, hair balm, and mimosa hair honey from CD. haven't had consistent results with any other products, as I've had with these. I will continue to se HHB as long as my hair responds!!!

I love CD and been using the shampoos and conditioners for a few years now. I was introduced to this product by my aunt. She told me to use this at night when I wrap my hair. I tried it and fell in love! I now only use a little of it every other night. A tad in my scalp and tap on my hair before I wrap. The next morning (even on the nights I DON"T use it) my hair just feels so soft and wonderful and free!! I've also noticed that my hair breaks much less now! Thanks CD!

I bought this product a year ago and didn't like it for my 4b hair (my hair is on the shorter side). Tried it recently and realized for my type of hair I was using it wrong. I can't use it as a wash n go. I have to use it as a styling aid when my hair is wet. I use it for twist outs, and Bantu knots. Its great. great moisture great sheen and soft. Some people say its heavy and oily- I can see why however I like that its moisturizing. The definition can last up to 3 days. Cheers.

I was mortified when I saw how my hair would dry up with store brand moisturizers and oils, I'm newly natural so I was just scared that I'd have to go back to a relaxer because my hair was so dry looking and brittle..ladies and gentlemen let me tell you when I ran this through my hair I didn't touch it I was convinced it wouldn't make a difference...2 hours later out of habit I reached up and touched my hair and twisted my face in confusion "it's so soft" lol I did a happy dance all around the house. I do admit the smell throws me off right out of the package, but everyone else loves sticking there nose in my hair so I guess it's not too bad.

I have been natural for a little under six months and I have been perm free for about eight months. My hair texture went from "Linsey Lohan" to "Macy Gray." HAving such thick 4C hair it is a challenge at times, But the Healthy Hair Butter makes my hair so manageable. I can use it everyday for just about ANYTHING! From twist-outs, to blow outs. Its light, its creamy and it melt into my hair. SURPRISINGLY, it slicks everything into place when i do a fro-pony puff. However, when I do twist outs I do experience a bit of shrinkage, The smell is very musky and strong...if it smelled more like the marguerites magic it would be 5 stars in my book, but overall its a wonderful product!!!

I purchased the HHB on 5/8/12 and received my product on 5/10/12 I was so elated because the shipping was fast I didn't use the HHB right of because I was kind of skeptic about applying on my unwashed natural 4b hair which I really needed to wash from all the product build up so I did a really deep condition and let my hair air dry because I have theory that my hair responds well to products when its air dried. So I applied the HHB just a small amount a little goes a long way like really I only used less than a dime sized amount the consistency of the HHB is very thick but when applied to hair its very light .the smell of the HHB really didnt bother me it smells sort of mentholated with an old spice smell lol but I will repurchase again !!!!!

I was looking for a leave in conditioner for my daughter's and my thick coarse natural hair. Healthy hair butter leaves the very soft. It is easy to apply and smells wonderful. I love the smell, however, it is very strong the first couple of times I used it I felt nausiated. I mix with my other favorite products (glycerin, jojoba oil, organics mayonaise, mimosa hair honey, and jada's dynamic duo) to make it more of a liquid and HOT DOG it smells so good and it makes the hair easier to comb thru. I put it on my daughters hair one night and the next morning I kept saying "Ooh your hair smells so good", Lol... It did! I gave it 4 stars because the price is high and the jar is tiny, but even with the strong smell it deserves a 5.

My niece has very dry coarse 4C hair that shrinks up tight to her scalp. Every product that I have tried before will make her hair feel nice and moisturized for 30 minutes but then the product dries out and her hair shrinks right back up. I was desperate to find the right product for my niece especially since she has eczema and it makes it hair for her hair to grow when she get it on her nape. As soon as i applied this butter her hair soften up instantly as if I blew her hair out. Her hair was moisturized all day long and her hair did not shrink back up. This product also works well for me too. I am transitioning and it keeps my hair extremely moisturized. I only have to moisturize my hair once a day or once every other day. The only con I would say is that the smell is strong and can be overwhelming. It smells like ginger. But the smell doesn't linger all day. Probably apply it the night before and the next day the smell wont be strong. I don't care about the smell because I would rather healthy hair then having a great smelling product that dries out my hair.

No doubt, this butter does the job. I don't really care for the smell though. Other than that, it's a perfect moisturizer for me. I'm just hoping the smell isn't noticeable to others when I'm around in the workplace or school.

My Healthy Hair Butter arrived today & I was so excited! I need a product that will protect my hair against chemicals. I absolutely love the scent that this protective cream hairdress has. A close friend of mine stated that this product is all she uses. Her hair is really healthy! I hope to start seeing results within the next month.

Last night was my first time using it and so far so good. I have been needing a great conditioner and moisturizer that doesn't weigh my hair down, and I think this product is a keeper. What I did was apply the product during my nightly twist and satin wrap. I woke up this morning with moisturized, conditioned, soft, and manageable hair. Now, I am going to do a test and see how long it lasts before I have to re-apply the product. I'm thinking I would only need to use 1 or 2 a week. I love this stuff! It's so smooth and it makes your hair feel smooth and moisturized. It is well worth the price. The only thing I don't like is the scent, but that is sometimes a small sacrifice when choosing all natural products. Thank you, CD!

I LOVE this product!!!!!!!!! I heard about Carol's daughter quite some time ago but I just bought this item a few days ago and I am already in love with it! I have really curly hair along with a really itchy scalp. The first thing I did when I got this in the mail was I washed my hair and then I oiled my scalp with it and to my amazement, no itching! I read some of the previous reviews so I already knew not to apply a lot of product and I actually only applied a dime size amount to my hair and it actually moisturized my whole head! I have already told several people about this product from CD and I can't wait to try others. Great product!
