I like this product a lot, it penetrates my skin and leaves it soft, smooth, and shiny. If you combine it with the brown sugar scrub it is like the holy trinity puring all of its blessings over your skin, it just leaves it so wonderful. I love this products!!! The only reason it didn't get five stars is because it doesn't penetrate my palms for some reason. It leaves my palms feeling dry so I have to use a lotion for my hands. I dont know why, and if i could i would give it 4.9 stars instead of 4!

Love Butter is a good product however the scent is very strong. I love that this product keeps your skin soft and smooth all day. All you have to do is apply it in the morning and go.....I get very little headed when scents are too strong. At night, I had a hard time falling asleep and found myself battling to use the product within a week. I love the results but hated the smell. I gave it to my nephew who have terrible dry skin. It works wonders and he loves the smell. I would recommend Almond Cookie.

This is an awesome product!!!!!!!!!! If you have never tried Carols Daughter- Love Butter you must!!! I put it on as soon as I towel dry after a shower or bath, leaves my skin soft and moisturized all day! And it smells soooo good. This is a must have, would not want to live my life without it. I am mixed complexion and this is the best moisturizing product I have ever used. Whenever I am in Manhattan visiting my sister who lives in Harlem I love to go by Carol Daughter. I ordered online this last time; placed my order on Tueday and low and behold it's Thursday and my door bell rings- the UPS man just delivered my box full of products. Very satisfied!!!! Thought I was literally going to die without the love butter bc I was all out and this time of year my skin is soo dry no other brand comes close.

I tried almond cookie Love Butter and liked it but I like this scent much better! I have dry skin and love how the butter gives me a glow and it is not greasy. Where I live it is hot (understatement) and I shower several times a day and this body butter keeps my skin hydrated and it looks that way too. That was very important for me to find something that will last on my skin and not have scaly, dry legs an hour or two later after application. I am a fan of the body butter for life!

I highly recommend love butter. I discovered this product when I was searching for an emollient rich nourishing body moisturizer that would get me through the winter. My skin normally gets unbelievably dry and itchy during the winter. I am BIG on moisturizing. But, I cannot stand lotions or perfume-rich, chemically enhanced products. Normally, for the summer, I use a natural lavender body oil with unscented, pure shea butter. That combination doesn't do it for me during the winter. Long story short, discovered this product and its fabulous. Here is why: First, it makes my skin look and feel fabulous and luxe, even during the harsh winter months. Second, it smells divine and doesn't trigger any sort of allergic reaction or sickness that I get with unnaturally perfumed products. Third, I am always just excited to wear it. After a bath, I cannot wait to put it on. That is corny I know, but its the little things that bring delight, and this is one of them. In short, I highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone!

Love Butter is my new favorite CD skin product. I simply adore it! It goes on smooth and has a wonderful fragrance that is heavy enough to use and not need perfume. It's an excellent product for people who have dry skin, or simply prefer heavy creams and butters. I don't have dry skin, but I prefer heavy creams and butters, which are hard to find these days. I haven't loved a body butter this much since The Body Shop discontinued their original Mango Body Butter formula (their current butters are not made using the same formula...and I simply hate them, LOL). CD strikes again!

So I'm in Sephora smelling everything and I only have a little bit of money on me. I didn't even want to buy anything but when I smelled the sample love butter I was hooked. I stayed over there so long the clerks and security were actually watching to see what i was going to do. I was trying to decide between one of the hair conditioners and the love butter. Hey the love butter won and I told atleast 3 other people about it. I think the price should come down a litte especially with gas going up but this is a must buy. Try it after getting out of the shower or put it on your feet then put some socks on and hours later smooth, sweet smelling feet!

I was very skeptical about this purchase because of the reviews about the scent. This butter surpassed any expectation I may have had. It is great for the body. I find that my feet are very dry and this moisturizes them but it's not enough alone. However, it does great on your body. I wish it came in a larger container. Seems as though it won't last longer than a month.

Let me start by saying I am officially hooked on Carol's Daughter! My bathroom is FILLED with so many products, I had to take a pic of my addiction at one point. I recently ordered and just used the Love Butter after trying the Almond Cookie version that I loved, and was excited, thinking this product would be just as great. However, the scent is just a little too "medicinal" or musky for my taste. It's almost a cross between Vick's Vapor Rub and Licorice! Given the ingredients, I was hoping for a bit of a warm cocoa scent or even the shea element. Of course, it does make my very dry skin supple, soft, and ridiculously moisturized! For that, I highly recommend it and would give it a 4 or 5 in that regard. But, unfortunately the scent knocked it down to a 3 for me. I'll have to put it on when I'm home alone with no plans to go anywhere (like tonight).

When I got this product it was so delicious to the nose. I recommend to anyone who has rough, dry skin or just needs something creamy to put on their skin... Top marks on this product.

I don't even know what to say when describing what this product has done for me in only a week. I have suffered from a form of eczema (Lichen Planus) since I was 13. Just turmed 47. I have been contemplating a homeopathic remedy from India for years. Just couldn't bring myself to spend hundreds of $$s for something thet had no guarantee of working. I had recently been enduring a light therapy treatment prescribed by my dr and I was at the end of my rope. I was in pain all of the time and my legs had never looked so bad. I have only been using this produxt for a week, and my legs have never looked so good. i think I may have finally found my miracle and i will be using this product for the rest of my life. I love this product!! I have very dry skin and it's hard to find the right kind of product. I am so happy I decided to try the love butter out!! I absolutely LOVE this product! I have really dry skin so lotion just doesn't cut it for me; and petroleum works but its so heavy and the smell isn't flattering. I tried this and fell in love. It lasts all day and the smell is so heavenly! My only problem is that I wish it came in a larger container. But this is my new everyday product!

I am a big woman and found this was the easiest applied product I'd ever used, including lotions! It's a rich butter and comes out stiff, but after a couple rubs between your hands it literally goes on your skin like butter! You don't need much as it absorbs quickly to the touch and has a husky, warm scent only enhanced by your own. It doesn't leave clothes "heavy-scented" either...My husband loves it!!! It's also great if you live in harsh wintry climates and really left me feeling that I'd done the most loving thing for my skin and soul every time I use it. I have already put in a big order--don't ever want to run out! Thanks again for another great product CD!

I've had dry skin every single winter since 7th grade. (I'm now 25) Specifically, I've had my knuckles dry and crack open almost every year. I'm in love with carol's products specifically the almond cookie collection. Recently i decided to try the love butter I was so excited and become very disappointed because I hated the smell.
